Grey and Bruce Counties have moderately growing communities. The population in both counties combined has grown by approximately 1,100 people each year since 2001, and continues to grow. The largest age groups are the residents between the ages of 45-54 and 55-64 years. This population age dynamic is reflected in the community spirit.

The Ontario Ministry of Finance projects the population of Grey and Bruce Counties to be 169,300 in 2011.
